Reading about how scrapbooking is one of America's very most popular hobbies has given me pause to reflect on how many things you could create a scrapbook about.
I happen to be a dog lover to the max. There's a great field idea. I was an elementary school instructor for 30 years. Boy, we sure could have made some awesome memory books if I was still in the classroom. And, to be fair, we did do many scrapbook-like projects while my 30 years in room 11.
April Fool Jokes School
The safe bet ideas would be scrapbooks all about your kids, your family, vacations, celebrations, anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, holidays, "Firsts," hobbies, scouting, sports, popular photos, funny incidents, milestones, achievements, proms, graduations, treasured memories, jobs, home improvements, the natural world, and so on down the line.
It would be fun to reconsider some potentially off-the-wall ideas, too. How about "April Fools," other pranks and practical jokes, recuperation, dating (the good, the bad and the ugly!), relationships, wipeouts, lessons learned, weather, the four seasons, music, concerts, sporting events, tailgating, wild times, weird friends...
Embarrassing Moments (I don't know about this one), letdowns, "If I won the lottery," pet hilarity, goofball gaiety, slapstick, life's microscopic dramas, dressing like an idiot, collaborations, stressful situations, on the road, merrymaking, monumental decisions...
Partying like there's no tomorrow, close shaves, caught in the act, scary moments, strange occurrences, bad habits, good habits, life's magical moments, surprise-surprise!, my cluttered life, top-ten lists about any subject, whacked-out and proud, on the high seas, my donut collection, caffeine!, real men don't ask directions, "Driving that train high on caffeine," "Truckin'," best bands, popular musical gods, pursuing the almighty buck...
Kitchen Kalamities, food-food-and-more-food, braving the elements, unnatural disasters, nodding off, eccentricity deluxe, crazy camping, political statements, exercising and hating every microscopic of it, my button collection, "petscapades," Don Quixote Moments, trash day, landfill memories, building weird contraptions, the budding video gamer, insults and injuries, how to build a better mousetrap, my junk collection...
Garage Sale Nirvana, superheroes, filling the pie-hole, a day in the life of..., popular movies and Tv shows, humorous quotations, inspirations, That's Gross!, gnarly insects, kisses, handshakes, museums, popular fast food joints, high anxiety, musical novelties, my candy paradise, popular lousy experiences, I never should have done that, best-ever books, best friends, takin' it easy, I zigged when I should have zagged, high calorie and proud...
Chilling Out Like a Pro, wish lists, getting in shape, just say no to..., self-acceptance, a day at the library, casino action, clay creations, hissy fits, all the world's a stage, Rated Xceptional, braving the potluck, fool's paradise, I Suck At..., keep the day job, over the limit, nostalgic peaks and valleys, My Scrapbooking Obsession...
That ought to keep you off the streets!
